Status: Project Abandoned

Pegaxing let this domain expire, so I snagged it to prevent some squatter grabbing it and placing some sort of malware or crypto scam page in its place. I just want to keep it simple and confirm that this project has been cancelled/abandoned. I have been asked about it quite a bit recently since it has been over a year since the demo released. Understandably, people have been a bit confused by the lack of updates.

To put it in simple terms, Pegaxing, on 4/18/25, deleted the projects 700+ member discord without warning after members of the community asked contributors to the mod about the status of the project in the wake of promises of a part 2 to the demo, and a patch to fix some critical bugs. With that deletion of the discord, Pegaxing chose to kick nearly everyone from the team and effectively kill the project. He posted a longwinded moddb article on that same day, saying he needed to go "back to basics", but that has been the last time anyone's heard from him in regard to interlude. I have access to a lot of the original project tracking docs, and keep in touch with the old members of the team semi-frequently, and none of those people have heard from Pegaxing since April of 2025. I think its fair to say, this project wont see any more updates.

Looking back on this all, and offering my unfiltered opinion...I find the whole situation quite pathetic. Pegaxing saw fit to take others contributions and market them as his own, all to ultimately crash the project into the ground. An ironic, but predictable ending for someone so obsessed with his public perception and quest for notoriety surrounding the mod.

At any rate, I hope HLX (Half Life 3) comes out soon and this project will fade into obscurity as just another sad blip along the pathway that lead to Half Life 3's release. If you want to join a community of folks discussing this & reviewing datamines for HL3, join the HLX Hub discord.
